Hi there. My name is Richie. I provide a supportive place where clients can learn to access their inherent capacity to heal, overcome barriers, and live a more meaningful life. My counseling approach is strengths-based and uniquely tailored to promote self-awareness, clarification of strengths and values, and to increase your sense of purpose and meaning. Topics we explore might include life transitions, unresolved conflicts, unmet needs, existential concerns, spirituality, identity development, grief/loss, and interpersonal struggles. I practice from a holistic perspective, blending a combination of Gestalt, Existential, Sand/Art/Play Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies to reveal contributing factors of depression, anxiety, and trauma responses. In addition, I am trained to treat responses to traumatic experiences using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Together, we’ll use these creative, evidence-based processes to awaken internal resources for healing, uncover the impact of past influences, and explore uncharted emotional territory. Engaging in this transformational process can be scary, but it can also be exhilarating to liberate parts of yourself that have gone unheard, unfelt, or unfulfilled.
